best way to apply tarte Amazonian clay foundation?

I am trying out the tarte Amazonian clay foundation and It is not working out well. I moistened then primed, and applied this foundation. Once with a brush then with a beauty blender. Both times my skin has looked extremely cakey and patchy throughout the day. Am I doing something wrong with the application? I love the coverage it is giving but it's just so cakey and patchy on my skin. Any advice?

Hi @gs14,

I love applying the TARTE - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15with the BEAUTYBLENDER - the original beautyblender®. I get the blender a little damp so it diffuses the foundation out and looks natural on the skin. Hope this helps!

Best.

Hi @gs14,

I have previously used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. It's high coverage, so a little bit goes a long way. I apply it with no primer and nicely moisturized skin for a cakeless, natural, flawless look. I then use my fingers to apply the product on my face. I have found that my fingers work better than any brush. I do believe our fingers are the most underrated beauty tool!

I'm having the same issue. I'm trying different primers to see if it helps but so far it just sits on top of my skin and/or rubs off easily and cakes. I'm thinking about trying a different foundation because I just can't get the results I want.
