I wanna start my own beauty channel and do reviews and such and I was curious to know what some fellow makeup lovers advice would be! Thank you in advanced ♥️

For me, to keep my attention, show a before and after pic in the intro and then use the video to show the process. And please don't spend 5 minutes describing what you are about to do. I will lose interest after about 20 seconds ( or 15 "Um"s) I dont mind a 15 minute video if you get to the point quickly but I HATE a 15 minute video where the first 7 minutes are used to talk about what I am going to watch for the next 8 minutes.

I think the biggest thing is to be authentic and true to yourself! YouTube Beauty Gurus are a dime a dozen nowadays and always tend to do the same content so even just a new vibe is great! A lot has changed in the Beauty community since I first use to watch and learn so much from YouTube videos a few years ago, so I think hands down the biggest thing is letting your passion shine because you can see how the constant routine and competition wears on some of our favourite gurus, I mean sure PR would be awesome but when there are 200+ reviews being done on the same release you want to stand out from the crowd. I know for me personally when I watch beauty videos the main thing for me is feeling like I can connect and enjoy the video I’m watching as a viewer, regardless products will sell if they’re of good quality so I want to see your personality shine! All in all it may sound cliche but it makes such a difference in my opinion, so don’t be afraid to be different because there is so much beauty in that alone! Follow those dreams girl & Wishing you all the best! 😊
