What should I use?

My skin tone is fairly even so I don't wear foundation. I normally just use concealer and powder in my every day makeup routine for my face because my dark circles are pretty obvious. My skin color is a light tan with an olive undertone. The concealers I've bought recently are too cool toned for my skin and I'm struggling to find the perfect fit!  I also use drug store products since I just don't wear a lot of makeup. But recently I've been wanting to get into it more! Can anyone recommend some good concealers that will cover my dark circles but also look good without foundation? Or maybe recommend a BB or CC cream that is fairly lightweight? I have combination skin. Thank you!

RE: What should I use?

The Tarte Creaseless Under Eye Concealer is awesome. It is a little thick so I would go with a color closer to your skin tone if you are not planning on wearing any sort of foundation to blend it into. NARS concealer is okay but I get better coverage with Tarte. Tarte also has a bb cream that has spf in it. It is very very light weight but adds smoothing look. I strongly suggest both the Tarte concealer and bb cream 🙂

Re: What should I use?

Definitely try the  NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with Medium Coverage Madeleine ! It is one of my favorites. I also use SUPERGOOP! - CC Cream Daily Correct Broad Spectrum SPF 35+ Sunscree for light coverage

I really like the MILK MAKEUP - Blur Stick

RE: What should I use?

I went in to sephora asking for a super light coverage thing (didn’t care if it was a bb, cc, foundation, etc) to help with just making my skin look a little more even and put together since I don’t wear a ton of makeup. She recommended the NudeSTIX blur stick, and OMG it’s now myfavorite thing! I had not tried a stick formula before, but it’s really easy to swipe on your face, blends really easily, is travel friendly, and comes with a cute tin with a mirror. I super recommend it! For reference, I have oily skin (technically combo); I get dry patches around my mouth during drier winter times. It works well with or without a primer, and I don’t get too oily. For primer, if I use one, I’ve used Tatcha’s silk primer since I like the idea of it helping protect my skin before putting on makeup.

RE: What should I use?

I would suggest Milk Makeup’s concealer. It’s creamy and light.

Hi @sassicassi,

First, so jealous that you don't wear foundation because your skin is even. #makeupgoals #skincaregoals #bowdowntoyou

Since you're blessed with great skin, a bit of concealer and tinted moisturizer is all you'll need. I have an olive skin tone and use the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer with Medium Coverage Madeleine  in Praline. For tinted moisturizer, I really love the BAREMINERALS - COMPLEXION RESCUE™ Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30. It gives the most natural, light coverage. You don't even look like you have anything on! I use the shade Ginger which is for olive tones.

I hope this helps. Happy holidays!

Stay Gorgeous,

Penelope

Re: What should I use?

Two of my faves are:  Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer with Hyaluronic Acid Natural Beige

and CHARLOTTE TILBURY - Magic Away Concealer

I find both of these can be used with or without foundation, have very little to no creasing and work well with or without setting them with powder!  Hope this helps or at least gives you a start!

Aloha!

Re: What should I use?

I keep hearing that Tarte Shape Tape is amazing, especially for a lot of coverage - a little goes a long way!
