What Product Should I Use?

I am curious as to what setting spray I should use. I want my face to look kinda glowy but not shiny, and what is the best cream blush to use?

Also my skin is kinda dry.

Re: What Product Should I Use?

For setting spray, you may want to also try a mini of Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Setting Spray.  It's like a hybrid, setting spray+ powder, but depending on your routine, it'll leave you set, but glowing.  @Enziekimble

There's also Gucci Brume de Beauté Beauty Mist 2.7 oz / 80 mL , highly rec'd by @itsfi as well as Pat McGrath's Glass Skin setting spray.  That Pat is also great at leaving a glow.

Right now, if your stateside, Ami Colé is closing up shop, but they still have there multi stick available (?) for $6!!! Ami Colé Desert Date Cream Blush & Lip Multistick ... But that's at the direct site

Also, for dry skin, you might want a glowing primer such as Gucci Hydrating Silk Priming Serum 1 or Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Niacinamide Fresh Pressed

Re: What Product Should I Use?

@Enziekimble, my skin is normal-to-dry most of the year (occasionally oily on my lower T-zone area) and I 100% agree with all 3 of @danielledanielle's setting spray recommendations.

  • Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm Mattifying Setting Spray - Danessa Myricks Beauty | Sephora - it's not entirely mattifying, I'd say it gives me a semi-matte, semi-radiant soft blur finish.
  • Gucci Brume de Beauté Beauty Mist 2.7 oz / 80 mL is a love for me - less so the price point, but performance & results are top notch. Its skincare-makeup functionality adds a nice touch - it contains black rose oil and a hyaluronic acid derivative that helps to keep my skin hydrated, and preps, blurs and sets my makeup.
  • PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish: Glass 001 Legendary Glow Setting Spray 3.38 fl oz/100 mL definitely gives a glow, and a buildable one at that (to a certain point).

You can't go wrong with any of those three and some of it will depend on the finish/level of glow you're looking to achieve. Of course, how they perform for you will be a key factor. If there's a Sephora store near you that carries one or more of these products, it's worth going in and testing them on a made up face, to see results and how each wears throughout the day. You'll get a chance to test the sprays on each - all good in my mind, but they're each distinct from the other.

As for blush, I'd add to your list of recommended products:

  • HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick - longwearing (but needs to be set), hydrating (great for my drier leaning cheeks), buildable coverage, good color range, easy to use
  • Rhode Pocket Blushers have good color payoff and wears well over foundation as well as bare skin, but should be set for longer term wear.
  • Saie Dew Blush Liquid Cream Blush gives a lovely, radiant wash of color (easy to build up color too if you want more) on its own. If you want to amp up the glow, you can mix in a little of the brand's gel illuminator - Saie Glowy Super Gel Lightweight Dewy Multipurpose Illuminator. Their illuminator comes in a mini size as well and is sometimes available as a promo gwp. Also, with the holiday sets out, there are mini sets of both the cream blushers and illuminators.
  • Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dewy Flush - Brightening Serum Blush for sheer but buildable flush of color - I was surprised how well I like these - you'll get a lit from within dewy flush of color. A similar finish but different formulation is the Tower 28 Beauty BeachPlease Lip + Cheek Dewy Cream Blush that @SportyGirly125 mentioned.

Hope you are able to find some beauties that fit what you're looking for. If there's a combo you find that works (whether or not from one of these recs), please do let us know. We love hearing about products!
