Tips and Tricks for Dewy Stix?

I'm wondering if any of you glow addicts out there are into Ciatรฉ London Dewy Stix - Luminous Highlighting Balm Lustre? I purchased the shade "natural transparent" a while back and I find that I rarely reach for this product. It feels a bit sticky and gets weird when applied over foundation. I'm wondering if any of you have tried (and loved) this product, and have any advice on using this highlighting balm. 

This post may be a long shot as this product doesn't seem to be very popular, but I'd love to hear from you if you've tried this or similar highlighting balms. I'd really like to get this product working for me.
