TSA approved

Hi! I’m just wondering if anyone can confirm if the ilia stick foundation and stick bronzers/blushes count as liquids? I’ve heard that lipstick doesn’t so I would assume these wouldn’t either?

Re: TSA approved

Hi @samesandy ! Ask Google (or other search engine) for “TSA allowed items.” That’ll bring up the TSA’s official list of allowable items. Makeup falls under the “Miscellaneous” category on their list. In that category, there’s a listing for “Solid Makeup” which includes anything that’s not liquid in form. As long as your solid makeup’s less than 12oz/350mL, you can bring it in your carryon and it shouldn’t count toward your liquids limit. Stick blush and powder blush would be solid makeup. Liquid blush ( Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Worth , Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Blush Storm , etc.) would need to go in your liquids bag. Ditto for stick vs. liquid concealer, bronzer, and foundation.

If in doubt, you can ask TSA directly. There’s a link to do that on their list. Also, browse through the list sometime for the heck of it: there’s some interesting stuff in there that I’d never even consider bringing on a plane and never knew was allowable. 😅
