Searching for a foundation

Hi everyone! I feel like I spend so much money on different foundations, but I can never find something that fits my skin or looks how I want on my skin. I hate the “cake face” look, but I need more coverage for my rosacea. I’ve found some foundations fry my skin out, and some make me look too dewy (like I just did a 2km jog). I need recommendations! I’m tired of throwing my money away.

Hi @rmwendel! The search for a go-to foundation can be a challenging one. I have redness on my cheeks what feels like all the time. Here are couple of options that have performed well for me and that may work for you:

(1) using a color corrector underneath your foundation. Green concealers or green color correctors help to cancel out redness. I like Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 15 mL/ .50 fl oz. Another option is Smashbox Mini Photo Finish Correct Anti-Redness Face Primer .34 oz / 10 mL. 

(2) IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Full Coverage Color Correcting Foundation with SPF 50+ has been a good foundation / base product for me; coverage is buildable. This version is more suited for drier skin types but those with oily skin could also use it, or there's a matte version - IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte with SPF 40 - that might be better if you're skin is very oily. Mini sizes of both versions are available though the shade ranges in the mini's are limited.
