Pressed powder help and explained please

I need to find new foundation for my mature changing skin. I used bare minerals original powder foundation but I want something different. The pressed powder products and loose powder foundations confuse me. Blurring, finishing, setting, foundation powder….help me choose.

@tara1823 when I think of pressed powder, I use that for "finishing" which is when you have applied all your makeup and it blends everything together, you can get translucent or a shade of your choice. 

(You can use powder foundation as finishing powder too) 

Setting powder for me is usually loose, I use it to set concealer and any cream products before going in with powder bronzer or blush.
