Permanent makeup: your experience

Who had it done and what was your experience???

Im thinking about getting a lash liner or maybe "baby liner" (very thin semi permanent liner).

Its expensive, like around 350$+ (CAD).

Ive been hesitating because im afraid i might not like it anymore after a while, also afraid it might not be well done (i always search for experienced/certified people and look at theyre work/photos), but still, we look at photos, and its not us, so the expextations are there....

So far i had my brows microbladed once, and another time it was another technique that i dont remember the name.

I had a not so good experience the first time (my brows were not bad, it just didnt work well and the technician was rude when she was the one using the wrong technique for my type of skin...), and the second time i didnt get the shape i Really wanted and i just dont understand because i showed Many pictures and well, like i said photos are photos.. but still, it could have been way closer to the photos, so...

Anyway what are your experiences?

I would like to know more about people that got semi permanent liners done as its what ive been thinking about for a few years now.

Thank you 😊😊😊

@Emy10

I don’t personally have it done, however, I know a woman who does. Before microblading your brows were a thing, she must have got her brows permanently tattooed on as well as eyeliner permanently done. It looks absolutely terrible on her. She has to be pushing 70, so I’m sure technology has changed, on her the brows have faded to a very stark blue tone and the liner looks so harsh against her wrinkled eyes.

@GG84  lol yes, things changed Alot.

There are many different techniques, and different pigments to make sure it doesnt turn bad.

Important things are to make sure that the person is certified, and that we can see theyre work (website) etc.

I had my eyeliner done in 2004. Best thing I ever did for myself. Had a favorite eyeliner color that I liked. Had the technician match this color up with the color she did on my eyelid. Was perfect. It was a blue green color. 1 yr later I had her do it again but this time with a navy blue color close to my lash line. I have green eyes and this color looks fantastic. I have NEVER HAD  to have it touched up has stayed perfect. Just make sure the tech does it like tatooing not the tapping method. The tapping method does not last. The nice thing is if you don't have any eye shadow on your eyes  still look nice.  Find a technician that has many pictures of their work. And also get references on who she or he have done. Ask them how they like their work.  If done right this is permanent just like a tatoo. I just love mine.
