Pat McGrath Foundation - Overrated?

Hey guys. I finally got my hands on the Pat McGrath foundation and honestly am I the only one who is underwhelmed? I love everything about the idea (BIG time MAC Face and Body fan) but this really fell short for so many reasons... first off, the smell on application was awful. Maybe the sample bottle was old? But it was not pleasant. Secondly, this hardly listed on my skin?! By the third hour it was as if I was wearing nothing! I applied this with my hands. Maybe it’s best applied with a brush? Any tips would be appreciated!

Sadly I agree with you. I love Pat but this wasn't it for me. I have really oily skin and this slid off my face. I always set my face extra with primers, powders and setting spray and this still came off. By the end of the day I had no foundation on my nose at all!

@StephanieVIB I’m with you. I didn’t find it flattering enough to justify the price tag. MAC F&B works just fine for me, Glossier if I want less coverage, Dior Backstage if I want more. I was hoping for more from PMG tbh.

I’m so glad it’s not just me! But you’re right, for the price tag I’d rather stick with what I already own.
