Morphe Brush quality

Do morphe brushes have that chemical, gasoline-like smell before and after washing? I mainly own MAC and Sephora brushes but a new morphe store opened up here and I am curious about the quality since I prefer for my brushes to not have that funky chemical smell.

Morphe Brush quality

The Morphe brushes that come in bags didn't seem to have a strong smell. The ones that come rolled up in the leather roll do; however, the smell goes away after the first wash.
