How to prevent cakey-patchy makeup?

I have tried primers and setting sprays to make my concealer stay in place, but no matter what concealer I use It becomes patchy and cakey after an hour. What concealer and primers are great to achieve the smooth makeup looks.

@ClammyCammy I usually start with a water-based formula like the Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Base, then apply foundation/concealer. I have been enjoying the Bobbi Brown Skin Full Coverage Longwear Concealer  and recently started using SEPHORA COLLECTION Best Skin Ever Full Coverage Multi-Use Hydrating Concealer  and so far, haven't noticed any creasing with it!

Do primer before and wait and try mac foundation 👍🏻

@ClammyCammy @It could be the oil in your skin breaking down the products. Maybe try a product that is mattifying.
