Gothic beauty

Hey all, this is my first post on the Sephora website. Does anyone have any product recommendations to use for gothic makeup looks? I have been wearing makeup for about 20 years (WOW!) yet am disappointed with a lot of makeup. I'm sure we've all had those situations where we thought an eyeliner or lip colour product was so amazing then we realized it was not. It is especially obvious when seeing other people's makeup and how bold and precise it is. I currently have 2 drugstore gel eyeliners. One sucks (it didn't give me problems the first time I bought it so I repurchased it but it is not doing its job so I will never purchase it again). The other one is better but even 5 hours later while it looks great from a distance when I look up close in the mirror I can see that there has been some fading. Also, the reason products usually stay put or can be waterproof is because of a forever chemical referred to as PFAS (please research PFAS if you don't know what it is - CBC's Marketplace did a great episode about it which is on YouTube). PFAS is not properly regulated and is not labelled in makeup products. I have yet to find a black lip colour product that I love. Also, its hard to find them. Sephora rarely has any. Black lip colour has gained popularity over the years. It's just alternative people who wear it so I don't know why Sephora doesn't offer much. There are a lot of things that I would expect Sephora to have but they don't. I am tired of not being able to look how I want. I could wear an eyeshadow that you can see if you're talking to me but in pictures you can't see it. Any advice is appreciated! Also, you can recommend products that are not black. I am open to anything that isn't pink or yellow. Thank you!
