Favourite brush cleaner?

I am very, very aware that I don't clean my brushes often enough, and now that I'm becoming more fastidious about it, I'd love some recommendations for brush cleaners! Most of mine have natural bristles. I'm most concerned about my big fluffy powder brushesโ€”big "investment gifts" from my very makeup-aware mother, and I don't want to shorten their lifespans. Suggestions?
