Dr. Jart Dupe?

"Devastated" is too dramatic, but I'm experiencing some STRONG feelings right now. I tried the Dr. Jart+ Premium BB, and it was as if the heavens opened and a choir of angels took up their song. I had the my-skin-but-better glow, just enough coverage to even out my redness without feeling or looking like a mask. I thought I'd found my Holy Grail face product, which is hard enough for anyone, let alone someone with rosacea and generally finicky skin. Then I went outside, and saw just how horribly it actually matched me. It dried down PINK (again, not helped by the rosacea), and a gazillion shades off from the rest of my body.

So, loooong story short, does anyone know of a dupe in terms of the texture and coverage that has a wider shade range? Someone put an end to my suffering 😄

Re: Dr. Jart Dupe?

@tastelikewater I have golden/yellow undertones and this looks pinky peach on me too. I find that the It Cosmetics CC cream is a better option for me. Probably more coverage but the shades lean more neutral/yellow than Dr. Jart.

Re: Dr. Jart Dupe?

@tastelikewater. I love Dr.Jart Premium BB balm too, but it doesn't look that pink on me. I have neutral,  medium tone skin. I also use a light dusting of Bare Minerals original foundation in medium over the balm as setting powder.  I also use blush and bronzer for dimension. This last all day, even in hot, humid weather. Maybe you could try what the earlier post stated to warm up the shade or try a dusting of a powder to help with the redness. I hope this helps!

Re: Dr. Jart Dupe?

Hi @tastelikewater,

I'm obsessed with the the DR. Jart+ Premium BB Cream, and I wear this daily! I have a fair complexion with neutral undertones, and I completely understand - this product dries down a bit peachy for me too. I found that mixing this with a small amount of my Makeup Forever Ultra HD foundation is perfect for helping this match with my skin tone! Since this foundation is extremely lightweight and skin-like, the combination does not end up too heavy on my skin, and it creates a natural, long-lasting finish. I know it isn't exactly a "dupe," but it could be worth trying out. 😉 I hope this helps!

Best regards,

Laurie
