Im in between these two foundations and I can’t decide on which one to purchase! Which one should I go for? Xoxo

Re: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

Born this Way is my favorite foundation because of it's satin/skin like finish.  I have dry skin and even with primer Double Wear sunk into every single pore on my face.  I looked like I had polkadots all over. I was so surprise because of all it's rave reviews, but every time I tried it the same thing happened.  I agree with the other posters that foundation is a very personal preference thing.

Re: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

I have both (my skin is combination, sensitive) and love both of them. Estée Lauder last longer and has more coverage but is not a perfect match for my skin tone. BTW looks more natural and gives you great coverage (you can build more coverage as you go) and it’s closer to my shade. Sometimes I mix a bit of both.

I agree with the rest of the ladies, it’s a matter of preference (cause they are both good quality), and the suggestion to get a 3 day sample is great!!! Sometimes it takes more of a few times to see if your skin agrees with the formula. I broken into rashes after the second day with other brands.

Re: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

@VickyNx I think it all comes down to preference. I have oily skin and for me, BTW does NOT work with my skin. It makes me extra shiny within the first hour of wearing it whereas DW is my HG foundation because it lasts all day on me with minimal shine. I think the best thing you can do is to go in store and request like 3 day samples for each foundation so that you can do a wear test with both and see what your skin likes best.

RE: Re: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

Thanks! I’ll get a sample of both and see how it lasts, I actually had to return the smashbox foundation because it gave me a weird rash around my T-Zone and chin (Yikes!) thanks for your advice!!

Re: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

@VickyNx If you can, why not go to a store and get a sample of both? Foundation is so individual dependent on skin type. Personally I'm a fan of the Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place 24-Hour Longwear Foundation 4W4 Hazel because I'm a fan of its long-lasting formula, the fact that it doesn't dry me out, and also that I'm not a big fan of Jerrod Blandino from Too Faced, but I'd imagine that I might like TOO FACED - Born This Way Foundationif I had a different skin type.

RE: Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

It depends on what kind of foundation your skin needs. Even though I have oily skin I still prefer the Born this Way despite it being a more hydrating foundation. I find the Estée Lauder is just too drying. I returned it.

Born this way vs. Estée Lauder

my personal preference would be born this way, I have oily skin and it lasts the longest for me. @VickyNx
