Blush: Powders vs. Cream?

I have used a ton of different products and application methods over the past 4 years and the list just keeps on growing! Something that has been a constant debacle for me is powder versus cream blush! I have used cream blush in the past to warm the skin back up before setting the face, but I have also went the route of setting the face first then adding it in the form of a powder blush. I've even tried combining the two, but I still don't know what I prefer and that may just be due to the fact that I haven't found the right products for me quite yet. Nevertheless, I want to know what you guys think!

@BlackWidowNYC I like powder blushes but also like PATRICK TA Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo  because you get both.
