Best blush brushes for beginners?

I'm really clueless about blush and haven't worn it for years.  Any recommendations for good blush brushes for beginners?  I'm looking for budget beauty to moderately priced brushes.   Thank you!

@greeneyedgirl107 , You Want To Go To BackStage For All Your Practice Needs 😉

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107 I recommend Sephora face brushes especially during Sephora sale. I’m pretty sure I have 2 of each following #99, 96. Their powder or foundation brushes are great too

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@blackkitty2014 thank you for the information!!!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107  You've gotten some great recommendations already with the SC brushes but going to drop you something affordable that I personally still use to this day. I personally love the e.l.f angled blush brush for powder blushes. I haven't been able to find a dupe but luckily I don't have to since they still sell this bad boy at drugstores and Ulta. The one I am using today is the same one I got 10+ years ago on a whim 😊

@gonerogue thank you for your input!!!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107  The SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blush Brush #99  is my favorite. I’ve only started wearing blush the last couple years. I feel like it’s very easy to use and it’s held up really well.

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@faeriegirl thanks for answering!!!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107 I really like the SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blush Brush #96 . It is fluffy but not too large so it’s great for a natural look that is easily buildable. The #Ciele Flush Blush Brush (won’t tag) is also good for a light flushed look. You really can’t over do it with this brush I don’t think. I also have a few Elf, Real Techniques and Morphe blush brushes that are really good for the price. Enjoy your new blush! What are you thinking of getting?

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@Sunnysmom thanks for the tips!!!  I think the Ciele mightve crossed my radar before, so I'll look into it.

Historically I've never been into blush, so this is new territory.   I prefer cool tones, but some on my list are warm.  I dont cate for matte, but there's one on my list.  Here's what I've been working on...in no particular order.  And some are highlighters.

SEPHORA COLLECTION Sephora Colorful® Blush in Trust Yourself

HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Bio-Radiant Gel-Powder Illuminating Highlighter with Fermented Arnica Rose Qu...

NUDESTIX Nudies Cream Blush Stick Lilac Love (the only non-powder)...I haven't seen irl

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Fenty Cheeks Suede Waterproof Powder Blush Wattabrat

DIOR Rosy Glow Blush 001 Pink

DIOR Rosy Glow Blush 063 Pink Lilac

Dior Rosy Glow in Starry Night

DIOR BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette 001 Universal using the pink as blushlighter

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Collection Sublime Flush

BareMinerals Gen Nude Highlighting Blush in Opal Glow

NARS in Please Me (online exclusive so I have not seen irl)

I'm hoping to go to the MAC counter soon!

Idk how I'll choose!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

Your list has so many good options @greeneyedgirl107 ! I really like the Haus and Dior and also share preferring cool- toned pinks. The Gucci formula is also a nice natural satin and has some very pretty pinks as does Ilia.  Love your idea of a blushlighter! Have fun trying them and look forward to seeing on a haul sometime! 💞

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@Sunnysmom thanks for the encouragement!  I don’t know how I'll decide which ones to start with!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107 - I like the Real Techniques 449 and 400.  The 400 might be a good place to start because it's big and fluffy.  You'll have a hard time picking up too much blush.  The 449 is more dense and more precise.

I saw @danielledanielle recommended the SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blush Brush #99 .  I have that one too.  It picks up a lot of blush and is very precise, one of my faves.  It's very similar to the RT 449.

@Titian06 thanks for weighing in!!!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@greeneyedgirl107 ,

For creme and liquid - Half Magic Baby Paw

Creme - at Ulta and half Magic discounts it sometimes 🏆

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Face 1.0 All Over Complexion Brush - For Foundation, Blush, Bronzer & P... 🏆

These I own multiple of because I misplaced both and was like...I need a back up.  The are usually my problem solvers when I'm trying out a blush and the texture is a little off.

Danessa usually does a decent black Friday sale, and there are occasional 25-30% sales year round

For powder, I sometimes like a thick fan brush, angle + blend , I just got the NYX fan, but it's 🤌🏽🤌🏽 and it's a multitasker

Also agree on the SC 93 and also like to add SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blush Brush #99 to that

I also like sigma Beauty spotlight duster brush, it's tapered

Rephr's 30 is great for really pigmented powder, and they have the 38 that just came out with is great for both creams and powder, it has a small  brush head, so +precision

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Soft Pinch Blush Brush , it's really good with their blushes, who would've guessed 🤣, but it's like a little stiple

MAKEUP BY MARIO F4 Dual-Ended Foundation and Face Brush , the small head is great for blush or foundation, larger side I like for bronzer

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@danielledanielle can the rare beauty blush be used with powder blushes?

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@danielledanielle being able to stipple with this brush has piqued my interest.   Just to clarify: when you use it with powder, do you stipple with it?

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

No, the stippling is for the liquids @greeneyedgirl107 .  You could, but it would make things splotchy, usually stippling is with creams or liquid.  Rare Beauty does have cream blushes, Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream Blush

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@danielledanielle thanks so much for the info!

Re: Best blush brushes for beginners?

@danielledanielle thanks for the info!  I am grateful for it.  Now I need to in store to investigate!
