Best Makeup Looks for Pale Skin?

Hey guys, I’d like to know if anyone could help me. I don’t wear makeup often and it’s partly because I don’t know what to buy in regards of eyeshadow and lipstick that would look good on me and how to combine more than one eyeshadow color from a palette that’d look good together on my eyelid. If any of y’all could help me out that’d be great!

I would take into consideration your skin undertones. I am pretty pale but have a neutral yellow undertone. You can be yellow, pink or neutral. Typically if you fall into the neutral range you will lean one way or the other. If your undertone is pink your veins will most likely appear blue, you most likely look good in silver jewelry. If you are yellow your veins will appear more green, you will look good in gold jewelry. If your veins kinda look green but also kinda look blue and you like both silver and gold you probably fall under neutral. People who have  a pink undertone are typically flattered by cool colors, greens, purples, blues. people who have a warm undertone are most flattered by warm colors yellows, oranges, and reds. If you fall under neutral then you can pull off any shade your little heart desires and it will flatter your skin tone. This does not mean if your undertone is pink you can't wear orange, you can it's just a guideline of what typically flatters your skin tone the most. Also this works for hair as well if your coo,l go ashy blonde or  warm, golden blonde. Keep that undertone in the hair, warm skin brown hair with red tones ect. You can also do fashion colors cool undertone go purple warm go blood red. Also your eye color can be complimented as well. Brown eyes can pull off anything, brown is a tertiary color it falls in the center of the color wheel. A basic understanding of color theory can help you to grow and create your own looks. You-tube is a great resource for videos on makeup color theory. Hazel eyes look great in purple. Like brown Hazel eyes can wear many different colors due to having many flecks of different colors in the iris. You can pull out certain flecks of color by complimenting what you want to pop most. Green eyes? Try coppers and golds. Blue eyes? Orange will make them pop. Look for colors opposite on the color wheel, complimentary colors. Fair pink skin with blue eyes and orange eye shadow, but Amber orange is warm and I have pink skin? But Orange is the complimentary color to blue which is a great way to tie a warm shade into a look on cool skin. Afraid to dive into color? start slow add a pop to the lower lash line. Practice at night at the end of your day. Sit in front of a mirror and play if you don't love what you made it washes off and no one has to know. If you love it take pics. This is a great time to practice and hone your skills. In the end these are suggestions to make the journey easier but these rules are meant to be broken. Have fun!

I’m very fair but don’t tend to wear pale lips/neutral lips if I’m wearing a nude eye look. I think that makes me look more pale. I need a pop of colour to liven up my complexion. If I’m wearing a palette like HUDA BEAUTY The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette or Urban Decay Naked3 Soft Pink Eyeshadow Palette Naked3 I’ll wear a berry colour on my lips like Sweet Raspberry or Very Vintage from Sephora Collection Liquid Lipstick.

Sephora Collection has little pallettes I think they're called Shadow Stories that are inexpensive and come with step by step instructions on how to build a look with the different shades. They sound and look perfect for what you want to learn. I have pale skin and hair and keep things pretty minimal, but some pale people go for super dramatic eyes and lips and I think they're gorgeous! The best makeup look is always going to be the one that makes you feel most beautiful, so don't be afraid to experiment. It's also good to be a bit versatile for day/workplace looks vs. night out/special occasion looks, so don't think there's only one right look for you. You're young and beautiful and you can pull off anything!!

I also think a brand like Colour Pop would be great for experimenting with lip looks, as you can get a lot for your money and they have so many options. Neutrals are safe, but there's nothing wrong with trying bold colors that you think are pretty. Honestly, trial and error is pretty much how we all figure out what we like, so get as much for your money as you can!

Hi @LipstickLover16  - For eyeshadows, I would definitely recommend you first try a palette with nudes, browns and tans. As for a lip color, a lip gloss or a sheer coral/pink lip stick would be best for every day wear.

I always use ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara - After Midnight as it doesn't smudge/transfer, lasts all day and you can keep it minimal or easily build it up for thicker looking lashes if you like.
