Beauty Blender bleeding pink

I bought the original beauty blender (pink) and I have washed it about 6 times alternating between the liquid cleanser from Beauty blender and philosophy purity.  I have let it fully dry eacheck time before I wash again ..... so this has been  over about a 3 weeks period. Each time my water turns pink from it bleeding the color. I don't feel this would be good for my skin to use it when it's still bleeding dye. What do I need to do to get this to stop?

My Sephora brand one also did this. I found it just stopped after washing it enough. I just use hair shampoo or hand soap on mine though, it seems to clean it fine.
