2022 Beauty Resolutions/Goals

As 2021 comes to a close, it's time to think about what your 2022 will look like Beauty-wise. What are you goals? P(l)ans? Brands to try? Brands to avoid? Low buy? No buy? 

Let's use this space to record our goals and check back in along the year. Drop by as often or as sparingly as you want to check in and encourage each other. All goals/resolutions welcome!!

@AznAngelLiz Ooh trips!! What states do you have left to hit?

@Samtian We're so close to finishing. We're going to hit up Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and take an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle in May. Then finish with Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware in the fall.

Oooh nice. We're spending a night in Coeur d'Alene - it looks so peaceful.

1. Health: Declutter makeup I don't use, Don't buy things I don't need.  (clutter = stress)

2  Health:  Donate /Consign the clothes I never wear & revisit seasonal capsule wardrobes (clutter = stress)

3. Financial: Save 500 dollars minimum

4. Financial:  (2 - year goal )  pay off credit cards (try to pay off one each year and from there maintain a credit usage of below thirty percent  30%. )

@WhereYouStand Some great goals there. Clutter certainly does = stress for me as well. Working on some decluttering right now of my beauty and clothing items. It's so hard for me to let stuff go. -sigh-

My goals are to keep eating healthy ( I took a break from that for the holidays) and drink lots of water.  Keep exercising-Jan 2021 til now was where I really started to get into HIIT cardio again and Pilates and saw a drastic change.  I think this has been the most fit I have been minus high school where I was in sports.  Also to continue taking care of my skin with masking, NuFace device, and DDG led mask.

I will continue to try new releases and brands.

I need to go on a low buy again.  Too many sales happened over the holidays and need to use what I have/bought.

My goals: 

1. More challenge participation/creation.

I love the 100 Shades of Eyeshadow Challenge and Makeup Challenge of the Week 2021/2022 threads!! I'll be looking into the 100 Days of Lipstick Challenge and maybe a scent one. I'd love to see more!!

2. No subscription boxes.

I have cancelled all of my subscriptions this year and I hope to keep it up going forward. I was just getting way too many products.

My reach goals: 

1. Low-ish Buy 

I was going through my collection this week and I have so much in my stash. I'll be largely working through what I have but buying necessities and the occasional new thing. (Eyeshadow palettes excluded). 

2. Maintain the ACTIVE CANADIAN PROMO CODES LIST #4

@haleyvvvv thank you for keeping up on the Canadian promo codes list!  🥺🥺🥺. As a coin conscious consumer, you have no idea how thankful I am that you lovely gals support it.  I’ll let you know if/when I’m able to cash in on the SDJ code that may be available for the US.  
I think cancelling sub boxes is a great idea.  I only have Fabfitfun and while it’s been okay for a few treats here and there, I’m already overwhelmed with the amount of items. I have lots of beauty lovers in my circle so I’ve regifted most of the items from past boxes. But I could have also just bought items that we all know and love instead of the contents.

@haleyvvvv Love the subscription box avoidance, I got rid of most of mine in 2021 but I re-subbed to ScentBird because I caved for a cheap sample of the SKYLAR Capri Summer Eau De Parfum Rollerball 0.33 oz/ 10 mL Eau de Parfum Rollerball 

I have many similar goals this year and this is such a great thread idea 🙂 Can't wait to participate.
