even lip stain

lip + cheek stains are absolutely gorgeous for everyday, laid back looks, but i absolutely cannot find a way to make the stains even on my lips! ive tried both Benefit Cosmetics Benetint Liquid Lip + Cheek Blush Stain Benetint  and the MILK MAKEUP Cooling Water Jelly Tint Lip + Cheek Blush Stain Chill and neither of them apply evenly, no matter if i use chapstick before or after. it's always the most pigmented in the middle of my bottom lip where the skin is a little smoother. does anyone have any tips on how to get a more uniform, thorough stain?

Re: even lip stain

@nyxmn I’ve seen some people have this same problem with stains. Some people said spreading it on their top lip first, letting it sit for a minute or two, and then rubbing their lips together helped (some said it didn’t work for them though).
But as far as it being patchy on yours cheeks as well, i think it might be due to them both having that thin watery consistency causing it begin to drying and staining practically as soon as you apply it. If you haven’t already, try rubbing it out with your fingers instead of a brush since the warmth of your hands might help it blend.
But if you’re looking for some good lip tints, kbeauty might be something worth looking into. Peripera ink mood glowy tints are some of my favorite along with the Etude water tint. The etude one is similar to the benefit one (it also doubles as a cheek stain) but its way more pigmented in my opinion so maybe it’ll stain better for you.
