If you want blue-red perfection then try out Mac Russian Red. If you are looking for a creme glossy (ish) finish Bite Beauty has amazing red's. If matte red lips is what you are going for then definitely try stila or Makeup forever liquid lipsticks they have many great go-to reds.

What kind of formula are you looking for? Liquid, cream, traditional stick?

Personally I love Nars Powermatte in Starwoman for a liquid, but most of my traditional bullet reds are from MAC

I like to use Temptalia's dupe search to find colors that are similar to what I already like but may be in different formulas or finishes. While her swatches aren't always on target (at least on me) her comparisons are very thorough and helpful!
