Perfect wearable red?

Hello,

I have been looking for the perfect wearable red lipstick in either a matte or satin finish. Basically, I want a red lipstick that I can wear without it being too dramatic (I have enough of those!).  I have a light skin tone and am looking for a red that has just the right amount of brown and pink in it. Any recommendations will be appreciated!

hi @nri00 ! a everyday, non dramatic, wearable red with enough brown and pink in it sounds like a job for bobbi brown ! there are loads of lipstick formulas in the range, so it may be a matter of taste, but my favorite is the crushed lip colors (the lipstick ones, i haven't tried the liquid ones yet). check out the color 'babe'. it's described as a pink but read more red on my pale skin. ruby is a truer red but still reads casual and every day on the lips. there are quite a few every day red options in the range !!

Hi @nri00. Lately I have been loving YSL's Tatouage Couture Liquid Matte Lip Stain #1. its probably a bit brighter than what you were mentioning, but I find it very wearable and feels like you are not even wearing anything - so comfortable. Nars also has a great Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil that comes in various shades of red that I would highly recommend checking out as well.

@nri00 I think NARS - Satin Lip Pencil - Hyde Parkmight be what you’re looking for! Here is a quick swatch for you. I am of the opinion ANY red is wearable for always however! There’s never a bad situation for red lipstick.
