Matte vs glossy

I ordered the Sephora favorite GIVE ME SOME NUDE LIP and for the first time I tried matte and felt like my lips was dry but it was cute! Do you think it was that brand or that's how matte feels!?

I agree that you should put some sort of lip balm underneath if your lips feel dry. Liquid lipstick tends to feel drier than a regular matte lipstick in a bullet form, so it's really about finding the right formula. Kay von D, NARS and Sephora's own cream lip stain have the most comfortable matte liquid lips in my opinion. Urban Decay's Vice comfort mattes are good too, but have a bit of sheen to them.

When I wear a matte lipstick I will put a light coat of chapstick under my lipstick. So my lips don't feel so dry. It always works for me.
