Re: Luxury Lipstick

@Margalee sure, why not? ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜ my favorite ones are:

- givenchy interdit 16 noir: It's a black lipstick that changes color when you put it on. It can be red, plum, mauve....it depends on your chemistry, and I love it

- dior 012 rosewood: it's from their lip glow line, is not a lipstick but it has color payoff, so I use it as a regular one. It's very creamy and it's nice to toss in the purse and use it as a pop of color

- guerlain kisskiss roselip wonder violette: discontinued product but it has a nice dark pink/plum shade that is very flattering on me. Also it smells like fresh roses ๐Ÿ˜

Re: Luxury Lipstick

I'm a lip product junkie through and through. Give me a matte nude eyeshadow palette and I will use it to death with no fomo but I don't think I could get stranded on a desert island without at least 10 of my favorite lip products. Not all of my favorites are luxury (or even carried at Sephora).

I love Pat McGrath MatteTrance lipsticks in "Beautiful Stranger" and "Omi". They don't dry me out although it always helps to exfoliate flakes because my lips tend to be really dry naturally all the time. They work really nicely for a diffused, blotted stain look and I sometimes add a little gloss. I'm glad she's improving the packaging because it is the weakest aspect of an otherwise solid product.

The Gucci lipsticks are my favorites as well. The floral, the Tiffany blue and gold art deco packaging(s) are gorgeous. I don't mind the scent either although I can see what people mean in that it leans old lady. The sheer in "Wife vs Secretary" is so unexpectedly flattering on me. It's a purple-pink but not too vibrant. Just enough to be interesting. I think all the sheers are so pretty and easy to pull off. "The Painted Veil" is a really great pinkish nude, which helps me look more alive than the beige leaning nudes. I also like the satin in "Blaze of Noon" and the balm in "Ester Rosewood" for the same reason - they are just great nudes on me.

Dior has one of my favorite and most flattering lipsticks ever. Rouge Dior in Grege 1947. I believe it may have been discontinued. It was perfect on me and had a fantastic satin velvet finish. The Lip Glow turns my lips bright pink no matter what color I get but I used to LOVE the Creme de Rose Balm that came in the white pot. Just perfection.

The Westman Atelier Lip Suedes are fun. I don't have the Les Rouges yet but the Les Nudes and the Les Bordeaux from the gift set. I like pulling out my little travel lip brush and feeling really extra about it. I like the product, love the packaging and the whole experience feels very luxe and beautiful. The Les Nudes are more like sheers/glosses and the Bordeaux has a more classic lipstick texture. I do like mixing the colors. My only critique is that the most flattering colors have the least amount of product, which is a bummer.

Other lip products I've tried that are 'good' include the Givenchy Le Rouge (great leather tube packaging, good formula, color range has expanded which is good), Charlotte Tilbury various (love the rose gold packaging but the swatches can be inaccurate which makes it hard to purchase online), Armani Rouge D'Armani (amazing nude shades).

Tom Ford was kind of a no for me. I tend to like a lot of the colors but the one I bought went bad after a few months. The smell was just completely off. The packaging is cool though and I definitely would be willing to give one another shot.

Re: Luxury Lipstick

@Margalee I love the NARS Audacious Lipstick Vera , the PAT McGRATH LABS MatteTranceโ„ข Lipstick , and recently tried and enjoyed the Givenchy Limited Edition Le Rouge Deep Velvet Lipstick .

Re: Luxury Lipstick

@Margalee I look for three things in lipsticks--doesn't dry out my lips (so many liquid and matte formulas are out), doesn't slide right off my lips (so no glossy and the main reason why I don't love some of the YSL lipsticks), and is fairly long lasting/leaves a nice stain. With those notes in mind, I love TOM FORD Lip Color Lipstick 03 Casablanca  and  Givenchy Rouge Interdit Intense Silk Satin Matte Lipstick   and Gucci Sheer Lipstick 506 Louisa Red

Re: Luxury Lipstick

@Margalee I havenโ€™t tried to many luxe or ultra luxe lipsticks, but a few years ago I did treat myself to a LE Chanel red called No. 5. It came in a red case which I really enjoyed. Itโ€™s a beautiful semi-matte true red. One thing I like about the Chanel lipsticks is how they are cased, the click push to release the bullet from the lid instead of just removing the top is unique. They are also more square than round, so they are a bit easier to store if you have many shades!

Re: Luxury Lipstick

@alexasteph Chanel's lipsticks always look so pretty.  I've never swatched any, though!
