Lipstick help

I'm new to makeup and I have no idea what brand of lipstick I should buy. I have naturally very red lips. I love the look of nude lips. My problem is that the lipstick don't stay long and my natural color shows through. Any ideas on what brand I should buy? Thanks!

RE: Lipstick help

Try Kay Von d liquid lips they last so long !

Re: Lipstick help

Maybe try something like a liquid lipstick. Make sure to moisturizer and exfoliate before because they can get drying but they do last. My favourite liquid lipsticks are from tarte, they are amazing . They have a variety of shades , plus they aren't as drying as other liquid lipsticks. My favourite is rose , it is a beautiful warm toned nude shade. If you are still not sure if you will like liquid lipsticks so much try the sephora favourites give me some nude lips set . Not overly expensive for how many products you get and at least you can try a variety of products.

Re: Lipstick help

I think normal bullet lipsticks are easier to come off, so if you want a longwear one, I'd go for the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks and Too Faced Matte liquids, they really do stay on for hours.

RE: Lipstick help

I've got naturally reddish lips as well. Nudes are always going to look dramatic on you because of this however. For us mid-tone pinky or mauvenudes are easier to pull off than light nudes. I personally don't favour nude lips. But If you do want to, a lip liner is a must to avoid a reddish rim or eliminate our lip colour for sheer colours. Try Bite Beauty Lip Pencil in 036. Bite Beauty lipsticks are fantastic in general, full pigment and moisturizing! Good Luck!

Re: Lipstick help

Have you tried a nude color lip stain, instead of lipstick? They stay on all day.

Re: Lipstick help

Hi!

A little tip for a nude lipstick, would be to start with a dab of concealer on your lips first (I use my Benefit 'Stay Don't Stray' tinted eyeshadow primer for ease). That will neutralize your natural red colour and let the true lipstick colour shine through. Sephora Collection cream lip stains are my favorites. They're very reasonably priced for starting your collection and they stay put. If you use the Sephora app, you can try a ton of shades on to get an idea of what you like. If you go instore,  you can get colour IQ'd to find complimentary nude shades for your skin tone.

Good luck!

Re: Lipstick help

you are one lucky girl with natural red lips, if you are looking for lipstick there are couple good ones Kat Von D ever lasting liquid lipstick , Make Up For Ever Matte lipstick ,Natasha Denona lip color tint. But I would suggest using a lip stain as it last long than a lipstick .
