Lip primer??

In my Sept PLAY box I got an UD matte lip shade. I've never worn a darker matte like that so it was really exciting, but I'm wondering what kind of primer (or balm), if any, that I should use before applying!! It stayed on pretty well all night and didn't even leave the dreaded lipstick stain on my wineglass. But it did have just a little bit of peeling (nothing major) and I'm wondering if primer would help

Well, I personally do this:

1 Apply Lip balm and let soak while I do my face & eyes

2 Use Urban Decay's Anti-Aging Primer or Too Faced Lip Injection

3 Apply the lipstick.

I find that when I do this my lips are softer, more hydrated, and the color lasts longer.

@Lickety is right. Taking care of your lips before you even put on the lipstick is important to make them look less flakey. I would suggest just using a good lip balm like the Blistex medicated lip balm (drugstore and AWESOME) and maybe exfoliating (easiest way is to run over your lips with a toothbrush when you are brushing your teeth). And the primer I always use is the Multipurpose ozone pencil by UD. It makes my lipsticks last considerably longer without drying your lips as much.

I ways use the UD Ozone primer before applying. Keeps my lipstick on all day as well.

I always use a lip scrub (I like the Jeffree Star ones) and then put the FARSÁLI Rose Gold Elixir on my lips before I apply a drying liquid lip!

Sounds like you need to use a lip mask to repair the dryness so there's no flaking.
