@gmilto1 Glossier Balm Dot Com - amazing texture and long lasting; Kiehls Lip Balm - thinner texture than the Glossier ones, but still really hydrating and long lasting. (Note: the Glossier lip balms taste amazing so you may not mind reapplying during the day haha)
@gmilto1 Like @ather , I use the Laneige. For me, it's the sleeping mask a.m. and p.m., and the balm mid-day. I recently tried Lanolips ointment and their balm, and both were a no-go.
@greeneyedgirl107 If your looking for a good cuticle oil the Doir one is by far the best and I use it every night. Literally changed my nails from brittle to strong.
@ather Thanks for the heads-up! I will look into it. My nails aren't great at all. My cousin has a theory that in our family if you have thick hair you have thin nails and vice versa. For the two of us it's true - her hair has always been terribly thin but her nails are literally rock hard. My hair is ultra thick, but my nails are super thin. Sometimes, though, I think it'd be fun to switch with her.
@greeneyedgirl107 Oh wow. How crazy. I have super thin hair. And my nails have always been bad. I use to always just do gel nails so I could have strong nails but my current job doesn’t allow nail polish or anything so I’ve had to change my ways. I’ve been using the dior cuticle oil and now my nails grow like crazy.
I use Aquaphor ointment as a lip balm also. I was on accutane for almost 2 years and my lips got so dry they would start to crack and bleed. Aquaphor was the only thing that worked, it literally saved my lips. I still use it to this day even though I am no longer on accutane. A lot of people use the one in the squeeze tube, but I prefer the one in the jar.
@gmilto1 Balms that contain camphor or mint/menthol can be very drying. My favorite daytime balm is plain ol’ Aquaphor Ointment: it’s petroleum jelly based, making it a good occlusive that creates a moisture barrier on my lips. I tap a little water on my lips to dampen them, then apply Aquaphor to seal in hydration.
