How do you over line your lips?

I have an ok bottom lip, but my top lip is meh. 😕 I saw that some girls have been “over lining” their lips to make them appear fuller but when I try doing it, I look like a small child drew on my face. 💄👼🏻What is the best way to do this?💋

ya when I try it to make my lips appear more even (upper right lip line is much thinner than my left) it's really obvious.. I just sharpen the tip to a fine point and slightly line a micrometer away from the natural line (or leave it dull and trace the natural line where the liner touches the outer line a bit)
