How Do I Keep My Lips Hydrated and Fresh?

I have always had the issue of having cracked and chapped lips. I keep buying very expensive chapstick, but they all seem to dry out my lips even more. Do all chapsticks do this? Is there another way to hydrate my lips?

One of the best things to do is drink plenty of water, exfoliate a couple times a week, and use a good moisturizer! If you are looking for something natural you could use coconut oil and sugar to exfoliate and moisturize at the same time, and then for extra protection use something like the pretty vulgar silent treatment matte lip moisturizer! I like to do this and it works great for my dry, cracked lips!

One natural way to keep your lips from drying up is drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Along with chapstick. If you wear lipstick excessively, it could be the problem. Hope this helps!

I have really dry lips as well.  I finally realized it was because I was breathing through my mouth instead of my nose.  Turns out my sinus were completely shut and I couldn't breath through my nose at all. I got a nasal spray from the drug store and I use it several times a day to keep my sinuses hydrated so they don't dry out and swell shut.  On top of that, I use PUR lip exfoliator in the morning before I apply the Sugar Lips Carmel lip gloss. This stuff is amazing!!! It is pricey but it is hydrating my lips instead of just sitting on top of them like all other lip balms do.  This is the first time in years I have not had cracked lips.  To sum up, make sure you are breathing through your nose instead of your mouth and get a lip exfoliant to remove the dead skin, followed by Sugar lips products. The best!

Try a lip mask and wear plenty of chap stick preferably a jell cap stick.

Have you tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask? That one works really well and you just put it on at night before you sleep.

I agree! Using a lip mask at night will really help to prevent dry lips.

Completely agree with this too! After 2 nights of using it, I really noticed a huge difference and my lips stopped constantly peeling. It also works great as a lightly tinted glossy balm for day.
