I'd recommend any of the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip sets. So it's easy to try on a couple great nude lip colors and find your fav. For the ones I feel are too dark - at least for summer - I just add a light lipgloss or lip cream on top and voila your own customized nude lip.

My favorite nude's so far are Bite's Retsina (discontinued :'( ) and Bite's Cava.  But like everyone said - it's super personal based on coloring from skin, hair, and even eyes.  When I'm in a rush and have no time for lipstick, I just do my foundation from my face over my lips as well and put a balm over it.  I really love how it looks!!  And that should match you for a nude color if it matches your skin tone.

@Anonymous I think a nude lipstick has got to be the hardest thing to find, especially since they are so dependent on your coloring.  I've found three that I like well enough: UD Morning After (a pink nude), UD Naked (a pink nude) and No. 7 Honey (a caramel nude).  Good luck!

This might depend on a variety of factors. Skin and hair color can change what a lipstick will look on someone as well as the pigmentation in a person's lips. If you share this information, we can give you a better recommendation.
