Dark lips from too much products

I think I burnt my lips from the products i used before, and sometimes it stings when i apply some lipstick so i stay low and just put vaseline. But it’s really getting darker and painful. Any tips? Thanks

@mariellefromPH  Now I’m curious about what products you used on your lips. But if you haven’t yet, you should see a dermatologist or your primary care doctor to have your lip skin diagnosed and get personalized treatment options. It’s good that you’re using Vaseline to keep your lips hydrated and promote healing. You might have something else going on that needs extra treatment though; a doc can help you with that.

@mariellefromPH Since you say its getting worse I’d suggest going to a dermatologist so they can give you some kind of ointment or cream. But in case you don’t want to do that, try aloe vera.

Buying an actual aloe vera leaf and filleting it yourself is best since it’s most pure. (Assuming you live in the U.S.) you can buy aloe vera leafs at Walmart. It’s difficult to distinguish which brand of aloe vera gels are actually good since for the sake of maintaining shelf life they can’t be “100%” pure like they may say. Whatever brand you buy, at least make sure the gel it completely clear and not tinted green.
Some brands that have good reviews are Amara Organics Aloe Vera Gel and Fruit Of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel

Regardless of if you buy the leaf or the gel, apply it once or twice a day.
