Black Lips

I tried on Fenty’s Lip Paint in black the other day on a whim and I high key loved it! But I felt it was too expensive. Is there another lippie (doesn’t have to be liquid) that stays well and has some hydration and isn’t super expensive? I won’t be wearing it much, just for fun

@cashen  My favorite inexpensive black lipstick is Colourpop Lux in Aeronaut. It’s just $7 USD (even cheaper if you buy it during one of CP’s sales) and honestly worth 3x that price. It’s a bullet, so it won’t last as long—not as budge-proof—as a liquid matte and there will be some transfer. But on me, the color stays put for hours with graceful weardown. And it’s very comfy on my lips. 

I don’t have this shade but you might wanna try it: SEPHORA COLLECTION - #LIPSTORIES - 44 Woof (matte finish). The Lipstories are another great cheap line of lipsticks. I have a few of these but not Woof; I already have more black lipsticks than anyone really needs. 😂 So I can’t vouch for this particular shade’s performance. But if it’s anything like other Lipstories mattes, it should feel comfy and have pretty good staying power. 

If you can still find MAC Liptensity in Stallion anywhere at its marked down price ($13.50 USD, I think), I’ll also recommend that one. The Liptensity bullets are all cream finish with ridiculous pigmentation and I don’t know why MAC discontinued this line. 

Oh! You can also try BITE BEAUTY - The Lip Pencil in 056 Black. This lip liner has a surprisingly creamy texture. I’ve used it as a full base coat under gloss and other shades of lipstick, but you can also wear it as a full base coat on its own. Sephora still has these on sale for $9 USD. 🙂

@cashen I personally haven't tried that shade but I've tried the formula and the Wet n Wild Catsuit Liquid Lipsticks are usually really pigmented and cost less than $5. You might need to order the color online because I doubt they have it in store.
