Best lip mask?!

Has anyone used both LANEIGE - Lip Sleeping Mask and Bite Beauty - Agave Lip Mask and have a preference on which works better? Pros and cons of each?

RE: Best lip mask?!

Do not use bite. Huge allergic reaction after 4 months.

RE: Best lip mask?!

Bite’s is too thick and sticky for me, and not very hydrating either. I prefer Laneige’s 100%! It’s creamy, smells great, and makes my lips super soft!

Re: Best lip mask?!

Bite is a better protective product but if you want plumping hydration laneige is more effective.

Re: Best lip mask?!

I’ve used both and find myself reaching for the laneige most often. It’s more like a gloss, but seems to hydrate my lips better and is much easier for me to apply. I use it day & night.

The bite is thicker and I have to apply it with my fingers. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I feel it takes more product to achieve the same results as just a little of the laneige. It tastes wonderful though, and does leave my lips softer.

As as others have said, I think it will just come down to personal preference. I think both are in mini kits right now so that may be a good way to sample a few flavors and some other products at the same time!

Re: Best lip mask?!

I vote for Laneige one. Liked everyone already said Laneige one is thinner and Bite is thicker. However for me Bite don’t seem moisturizing enough (weird right?). Also, Bite has a bit of sweet taste.

Re: Best lip mask?!

@jhd14 I have tried both and I love the Laneige one better. I feel like it really moisturizers and plumps up my lips. The Bite Beauty one is good too but sometimes it’s a pain to squeeze out and is very sticky. The only thing about the Laneige one is that you have to use the scoop that comes with it and you have to make sure it’s clean otherwise you are putting bacteria back in the jar.

Re: Best lip mask?!

@SportyGirly125 Glad I’m not the only one who feels like you have to fight to get any Bite product out of the tube! I even tried enlarging the foil hole with the cap multiple times and it was no use. 😔 Shame because it would be almost a 5 Star for me if it was easier to apply.

Re: Best lip mask?!

@Sanderisms I know right. It works great but then you have to fight to get product out.

Re: Best lip mask?!

I've only tried the Bite. It's thicker and still can feel it hours later, even with using a small amount, like it didn't sink in deeply enough. Once removed don't recall lips being anymore hydrated than before using. It wasn't a repurchase for me. Note some have an allergy to Bite, since of lanolin.

Best lip mask?!

I've purchased both as minis. The laniege one is ok..I feel like it's a regular lip balm. I really like the bite beauty one. I put it on my lips as a part of my night time skin care routine. When I wake up some of the mask is still on my lips and my lips are so soft and moisturized. The laniege one is a thinner consistency and the bite beauty one is a lot thicker. It also depends on what texture you prefer. A lot of people complain about the bite beuaty lip mask saying it's too thick, but you need the tiniest amount. There are a lot of minis available forChristmas right now which would make it a great time to try them! @jhd14

thanks! I think I'm looking for something thicker for night so I will probably try the bite beauty one. thanks again!

Re: Best lip mask?!

@jhd14 I just bought both and am grabbing for the Laniege more.  I think it's easier to apply, and so far it seems to be working better.  I've heard they're both good, so I don't think there's necessarily a winner or loser.  A lot of people use both 🙂

Re: Best lip mask?!

I just purchased both (tried and enjoyed the Bite one last year). I am currently trying to use up a lip oil at night and when that is done I will use the Laneige. I had the same question about which is better so I am planning on finding out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help now but I will update in the future. Obviously personal preference comes into play with most products but hopefully you'll get a consensus.

Re: Best lip mask?!

I'm a bite mask girl all the way!

Laneige is thinner so you could use it more during the day if you wanted to. But really the only pro I could think of is that the jar will last you a long time. It didn't do anything for my lips, i would get a sample first before buying. The bite is wonderful & will last you a long time too. It clears my chapped lips up overnight

unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere and the closest Sephora is 2 hours away. so my samples are limited to what I get with orders and through point perks. I think from most responses the bite beauty lip mask sounds right for me. thank you!
