Absolute best liquid lipsticks

hey, i love liquid lipsticks and have tried different kinds. im super picky, long wear, no sticky stuff. what are your tops favorites? mine are Stila, Make up Forever, Sephora cream and i have 2 JS ones. im fair cool skin. like Estee Lauder Double wear cool bone. If your the same, what colors suit you best? i cant wear anything orangey or red. would love to trade colors since swatches are never accurate.

I really love the BareMinerals Gen Nude Liquid Lipsticks. They have mango butter in them to keep your lips moisturized throughout the day. My favorite shade is Swank, it's a flirty berry shade that looks great on all skintones.

@madison2021 my top matte formulas are the smashbox always on matte liquid lipstick (very true to name and I don’t find them to be super drying or crumbly). If you’re into metallics they do them SO well too. I’ll wear basically any color but I usually stick with nude-mauve or rust/terracotta colors as a personal preference. My favourites from the Smashbox line are Drivers Seat, Rust Fund and Out Loud. The Nars Powermatte is also incredible. Feels like nothing on and lasts forever!! The shade variety is better in the smashbox, but for the nars I like American Woman, Save the Queen and London Calling.

@madison2021 my go to liquid lipstick is the Too Faced Matte one, particularly in the color Queen B. it lasts all day, doesn't flake, and I love the color!

I’m also super picky about liquid lipsticks, including liquid mattes, glosses, and liquid satins. I hate products that dry my lips out, attempt to glue them together (boo to sticky glosses!), or try to escape them by feathering/bleeding. Also not a fan of liquid lipsticks that pool in my lip lines, resulting in a cracked or striped smile. (I don’t care that my lip lines are visible through an even coat of lipstick.) 

With all that in mind, my favorite glosses by far are LANCôME - L'Absolu Lacquers. They’re very lightweight, not sticky, very glossy/shiny, and they last an amazingly long time. They’re also formulated to be buildable: one coat = a sheer coat, two coats = medium coverage, three coats = opaque. I have 13 shades and have tried not to buy more. 😂

The Bobbi Brown Crushed Liquid Lipstick Peach & Quiet  are pretty impressive. They’re not very shiny; they’re almost like a shiny version of a liquid satin. Very lightweight, non-sticky, and they last a good while. 

Liquid mattes are mostly problematic for me. The only ones I can comfortably wear longer than 2 hours, let alone all day, are NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment American Woman  and MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Liquid Matte Lipstick —and that’s with my usual liquid matte prep of Aquaphor + lip primer (MAC Prep + Prime Lip). 

I also have liquid lipsticks by Jouer, MAC, Fenty (the Gloss Bombs are great; other glosses tend to bleed without liner/primer to contain them, and I’m not as big a fan of the liquid mattes as other folks), By Terry, Lipstick Queen, YSL, and a few others. I like most of them, but not as much as the other products I mentioned.

I love liquid lipsticks too! One of my favorites is Too Faced Lady Balls. It's a really pretty red and it doesn't dry out my lips and its long lasting especially with a liner.
