K-Beauty products recommendation?

I love Korean products, but I have a hard time choosing which ones to buy. I'm very picky with my makeup because some of them tend to break me out. Any good korean foundation or bb cream recommendations? As well as concealer?

RE: K-Beauty products recommendation?

I'd strongly recommend keeping a skincare routine journal of your favorite products and also the products hat make you break out. It's likely here are some ingredients that may be triggering and causing your sensitive skin to have an outbreak. Being ingredient savvy is what helped me learn what to stay away from in all of my skin, hair and body care!

RE: K-Beauty products recommendation?

I have very sensitive skin, I used to breakout into a horrible rash all over my face when using any Western Brand's makeup or skincare, so I switched to kbeauty. I use mainly MISSHA 's makeup (they have great skincare too, I just found a cheaper dupe for the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask from them!). MISSHA has amazing eyeliner and mascara that DO NOT BUDGE, I seriously can't get them off some nights, and their face makeup is amazing! So far I have tried their Cover Prime under eye brightening concealer, and I really like it, but I have also tried Innisfree's concealer and a concealer by Clio. I am very fair with neutral undertones, so the Innisfree and Clio concealers were a bit too yellow for me. I still use them, but I just have to layer them under my BB cream that matches my skin tone. I hope this was helpful!

I love CosRX's Snail Essence. I did not realize how dry my skin was until I applied it to my skin! Indefinitely recommend it!

I definitely co-sign CosRx! They are a great no-fuss brand with minimal ingredients, usually natural derivatives and made for sensitive skin.

I have been using Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream for years now. It has a great, natural coverage and it is not too dewey. You can usually find it for under $20 and they have a more selections of shades to choose from. A lot of K Beauty foundation/BB creams are really light or have only 2 colors to choose from. Peripera lip inks and lip velvets are AMAZING. Anything Skinfood and TonyMoly skincare are really great. A lot of these products can be found on Amazon. GOOD LUCK!

Re: K-Beauty products recommendation?

I have to use extreme caution with what I put on my skin anymore due to adult acne breakouts I have been dealing with now for about 3 years. I agree with one commenter who recommends Dr. Jarts Black Label BB Cream and although I have not tried any makeup from SkinFood I do use their Rice Foaming Scrub Wash which is AWESOME and you only need a tiny dab because it foams like crazy. I also use Skinfoods For Peach Sakes toner, serum and emulsion and it does not cause me to break out or clog my pores.

Recently I read of fakes on brands sold on sites like Amazon and eBay which I was aware of already BUT I was not aware that some ingredients found in the fake products have been horse urine, Mercury, lead, arsenic, cyanide and even human urine and rat droppings. Unless you are POSITIVE with 100% CERTAINTY that you are buying from a trusted source, I wouldn't. Sephora carries Dr. Jart brands and Ulta carries SkinFood. Hope this helps.

I tried their bb cream and it's not my favorite. But I'll look into their cc cream. thanks!

RE: K-Beauty products recommendation?

Hello, I have skin that can easily breakout, so I'm right there with you. For Korean bb creams I recommend the Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly bb Cream. Or the Dr. Jart Black Label bb cream. Or the Skinfood Peach Sake Pore bb cream. None of them have a good selection on shades, but the product is great. You can find them all on Amazon. Hope this helps!

Thank You for your help! I know what you mean, it's pretty hard to find a bb/cc cream that matches our skin tone. Oh, I recommend you try Curology since you said you suffer from acne prone skin or easily break out. I've been using it for almost a year and my face looks much clearer, just acne scars remaining. RE: K-Beauty products recommendation?

I have very acne prone and combination skin and so far the Laneige hydra radiance cushion hasn't caused any breakouts 🙂

thank you so much! I'll look into it 😊
