When do eye shadows expire?

So most ABH palettes list 6M on the packaging and people say it's 6M after you first start using them, but does that mean if you start using them 10 years from now you still have 6M???!

I would add that I noticed Sephora started selling an antibacterial spray. I think it might be similar (if not the same) as the one they use in store to sanitize.

Typically yes it's from when you first open them because that is when bacteria is first introduced.  As with everything though it is within reason.

I personally pay very little attention to cosmetic (notice I didn't say skincare) expiration dates.  I would never toss an eyeshadow palette after only 6 months.  That's absurd.  Keep your cosmetics out of the bathroom, and in a bedroom or hallway closet for instance (somewhere away from heat, humidity, and sunlight), and they'll last for ages.  I go off of how my makeup looks, smells, and feels.  If it seems "off" in any way then I chuck it.

Oh, and clean your makeup brushes regularly.
