Tower 28 spray?

  •  Is the tower 28 spray worth the hype? I haven’t seen any negative reviews on social media but I is it a good investment?

Re: Tower 28 spray?

@katie2811  If you want a spray just to hydrate your skin: no, T28’s spray probably isn’t what you want. It won’t make your skin a desert, but there are better options out there for hydrating mists.

But if you want a spray to treat inflammation and help keep yeast-related skin conditions under control, then T28’s spray is a good option. Its star ingredient is hypochlorous acid which I call the anti-everything ingredient: it’s anti-bacterial, fungal, viral, and inflammation. I personally think T28’s spray is overpriced though. For the last few years, I’ve used SkinSmart Antimicrobial Wound Therapy which is nearly the same thing (same % of hypochlorous acid and basically the same inactive ingredients) at a significantly lower price. You can find other similar products at Amazon or possibly your local drugstore; you can even ask a pharmacist or your doctor for recommendations.

A couple years ago, I switched from alcohol-based hand sanitizers to hypochlorous acid spray (I keep a mini spray bottle of SkinSmart in my bag) because it doesn’t dry my hands out. You can also sanitize hard surfaces with a hypochlorous acid spray. If you need to wear an anti-cootie mask and suffer from “maskne,” misting your face with hypochlorous acid before putting on your mask can help reduce that acne. In hot weather, I mist my sweaty face with that spray to reduce bacteria and avoid acne. And since I’m very prone to yeast overactivity/infection on my skin, hypochlorous acid’s been a staple preventative ingredient in my face and body care routine. All that rambling is a long way to say this ingredient’s useful for many things. 🙂

@katie2811 I got a travel size sample from the Sephoria box and didn’t like it for my combo skin on the dry side.

Re: Tower 28 spray?

@katie2811, I'm going to tag some folks here who have used this product and can share their experience. I really like the brand but for whatever reason I didn't/haven't seen the results that others have with it. That said, it's a favorite among many here whose opinions I trust. @ather @Buootiful @JoSometimes I know I'm missing other people to tag; it's been a long-ish day and my brain is ready to call it a night. If I think of more folks who can chime in about the SOS spray (good or bad, though I don't really know anyone who had a bad experience with it; mine wasn't bad - I just didn't get the amazing results that others did), I'll tag them another day.

Re: Tower 28 spray?

@itsfi Thanks for the tag!

@katie2811 I like it for calming my sensitive skin during a flare up or other irritation. There are some good dupes out there for a fraction of the cost. Be on the look out for Hypochlorous acid spray at your local drugstore or Amazon.

Re: Tower 28 spray?

Awww, thanks for the tag @itsfi !  @katie2811 it works for me. . It hydrates and soothes  quickly. It may not be ideal for winter but will be great any other time. It's , especially effective when you feel warm. You can use it as a toner and throughout the day.

Re: Tower 28 spray?

@itsfi  Thanks for thinking about me! @katie2811  I definitely think it’s worth the hype! I’ve had a few times it really saved me! I had a burn and it literally cleared it right up. I also have sensitive skin and it’s helped calm down my skin!!!
