Goodbye tier rewards?!

Has anybody else noticed that the tier rewards have disappeared? Despite the shame I have for asking this question so early on in the year, I’ve just noticed that despite hitting the VIB qualifier to keep it through the end of next year, “tiering up” is no longer listed in the VIB/ Rouge benefits so no more 500 / 750 points rewards for reaching the spend levels for the corresponding points status. Seems to discourage brand loyalty if this is the case.

Noticed as well. Even the 250 points birthday gift is no longer an option. With the 750 tier reward that would have been 1000 extra points which would have qualified me for two Rouge rewards which even those have been non existent for the past few months. Why do we spend so much money at Sephora again? Can't wait for Ulta to open in Canada and hoping that Shoppers Drug Mart picks up more high end brands.

So I asked at the cash register about the 250 points for the birthday reward and they did it, but that was in the first few days of January so I may have just lucked out. Might be worth asking in store though if you’ve not already claimed your gift? Have to say, the changes in tier rewards and to the Rouge benefits has made me start looking at products I’m going to purchase in Ulta, Nordstrom and Macy’s as I can build up points for redemption in those stores instead. It’s a shame but the changes at Sephora with their rewards programs seem to take customer loyalty for granted.

There are no more gifts for hitting Tiers as of January.
