Do you wear makeup every day?

I don't know if this question has ever been asked:  do you wear makeup every day even if you think you won't be leaving your home?

No. I usually wear it most when I know I'm not leaving the house haha.

I do my version of a full face if I'm leaving the house.  I mostly work from an office of some sort and I'll always have make up on.  On the weekends, if I'm going out of the house, I'll put it on.  Pretty much anytime anyone other than my immediate family will see me I'm wearing it.  I will admit that my summer weekend make up, or my work from home, but may have a meeting make up are much less than I normally wear.

@CorgiMommy I wear makeup 4-6 days a week, mostly depending on how many times I snooze my alarm. I don't work in a very "professional" setting so that doesn't matter. It's usually spurred by me wanting to use new items and test them, how creative I'm feeling, how fancy I want to feel, etc. I've put on a full face knowing I won't be going anywhere and just hung out in a robe with sparkles on my face.

@CorgiMommy it's either that or my house clothes. My bf will ask me if I'm going somewhere and it'll just be from the bed to the couch lol

@CorgiMommy - I wear a full face 5 days a week to work.  I may wear a full face on Saturdays or when I'm home on vacation if I plan to run multiple errands (make it worth my while to put on makeup).  I also play with my products on the weekends or vacation time to practice or try new things before going live IRL.

@Titian06 I find I need a motivation to put on makeup so even one errand will make me at least do my brows and mascara.

This is an interesting question to me ATM, currently not wearing much makeup, but normally I wear a full face most days of the week, 4-6 days.  I find doing my makeup to be therapeutic.  It's practice, a routine, self-soothing/self-care.  Aside from 1-2 makeup free days per week, I'm not wearing it d/t time or mood, and even then if my mood is off, I'll sometimes wear it because using "this week's favorite thing" can help my mood. 

Also, like @WinglessOne , I usually have at least brow product if I'm leaving my home.  Thanks to the late aughts, my throws were threaded to oblivion 😭🙃

@CorgiMommy  I end up doing my brows partly out of habit, but mostly because that’s the only makeup I deem 100% necessary (for myself) if there’s any chance I’ll go out—even if it’s just a quick trip downstairs to my building’s mailroom or package room. Otherwise, I don’t usually wear makeup if I think I’ll be home all day.

Exceptions: playtime and wear tests. An at-home day is a good time to test makeup products and custom mixes, just to see how they apply and look on me. I like to wear things away from home before fully judging performance (some things fare better in my home environment vs. outdoor weather). But an at-home wear test lets me wash stuff off my face if any irritation happens.

@CorgiMommy I only wear makeup for work which is 5 times a week or special occasions. During the pandemic I would wear makeup once a week to test products or to practice a new look.

@SportyGirly125 thanks, i love you idea during COVID.  Hopefully we never have to go through that again.
