Customer Service Experience

Has anyone else had a terrible experience? It’s so bad i want to boycott Sephora

I have had some of the most absolutely abhorrent experiences with Sephora customer service. I used to be the top of the top when it came to the different tiers of buyers. I think it was Rouge or whatever. I spent thousands of dollars at Sephora. And I have never in my life been treated as atrociously, irrelevant, less than unappreciated, disrespectfully, and with absolutely no regard not just as one of their top clients, but as a human being on a face level.  I have had orders screwed up, items missing entirely and sometimes multiple items missing entirely from orders, damaged goods, rewards items that I spent extensive amounts of My Rewards point on left out of packages completely and then Been Told basically that I would just have to eat the cost because there was nothing they were willing to do, I never received the samples that I I never received the samples I request if any samples at all, and I have never once been given any kind of special gift or consideration for the fact that I was hemorrhaging money on a regular basis right into their pockets. The experiences I have had with customer service alone are exactly why I stopped ordering from Sephora for a year or maybe longer at all. I have definitely ceased spending even as much is a quarter of what I was spending with them. I got so little out of being a Rouge oh, that I dropped to Vib status oh, and received so little from that, that I'm now just your everyday Insider. Sephora has lost at least 5 to $10,000 in profit every year solely because of their treatment of what we're supposed to be there upper echelon and most valued customers.

Staff in store, the worst.

@lexaC I've actually had great experience with the customer service at Sephora.  I was pleased with the resolution.

I had both bad and excellent experiences. It just depends who you run into, and how the stars shine that day :). Overall, I think customer service is rather good than bad, I just try not to think too much when I run into a bad service and pay more attention to good ones. There are amazing people who work there, and they helped me to find great products suited my needs, and I am grateful for that.

I've never personally met anyone who has never had a problem with Sephora customer service!  Sephora and MAC are famous for their terrible service.

Even my boyfriend has received bad service when shopping for the holidays.

OMG YES!  My horrible experience went on for MONTHS!  It was by this one employee that worked at the closest Sephora to my house.  He was so rude that I would go to the other 4 Sephoras instead on the days he worked.

Sure, Sephora never had great service but this was beyond terrible!

Yes i have! The online and in-store experiences are horrible.  For myself online is worse! From this point on I wi be purchasing either from Beautylish OR the direct brand/company website. We should all do that so Sephora can begin to lose money. They don't care about us but our money anyway

Yes!!! For the most part, most of the people I interact with in the store are lovely but when someone isn't lovely they are terrible. There is no in-between for these people. Its either they are the most friendly people in the world, or they act like someone pissed in their morning cereal.
