Best foundation for very dry, sensitive skin?

Winter is brutal for my skin. It’s dry, red and sensitive. I have tried so many foundations and they always end up looking cakey. I can’t stand it when I can see foundation on someone, I like it to look very natural but covers well. It’s like a mythical unicorn to find Lolol

RE: Best foundation for very dry, sensitive skin?

I have dry skin as well, I use the Hangover Primer because it’s super hydrating and then the Born this Way Foundation. They work incredibly well and look amazing. For your red/dryness grab the Dr. Jart+ best face forward set. The Ceramidin and cicapair cream work to bring moisture back into the skin and lock it in while reducing redness.

Rainforest of the Sea!!! I swear by it!!! Use the cleanser, H20 moisturizer and/or Maracuja Oil. UH MAZ ING I also use Julep no limits luxe hydrating creme and the night shift sleeping mask. Foundation I use IT Your Skin But Better CC, & Makeup Forever HD. You can also try Smashbox Photo Finish Primer OIL. Always use a primer before foundation. Self taught that it helps protect the skin from the makeup and helps for easier removal. 🤳

Re: Best foundation for very dry, sensitive skin?

Hey! I have super dry skin as well! So far I've been using MakeUpForever HD foundation, loving it. Tarte's Rainforest of the Sea, also loving it (it's also cruelty free yay!). And I've tried a sample of the Urban Decay's Naked Skin, loved it as well.

I really do my best to exfoliate and moisturize, especially before applying any makeup, so that none of the foundation clings to any dry patches.

I would definitely suggest you go to the store and try some swatches on your cheeks and/or forehead and also get samples! I never trusted my skin enough to buy a full sized product before trying it. My face is generally a flaky mess haha.

All the best in your hunt 🙂
