I'll step in to save the day.
Calling all moms & moms to be!
Show us your Mothers Day they-forgot shopping spree
Thank you @l8totheparty! 😃 They’re cute and fun.
Thank you @curlychiquita! 🤗 I’m excited to put them to use. The cases were just too cute to say “no” to. 😆
Thank you @lmaster! 🤗 So, from what I gather, you remove the blue sticker from the plate. Pick the design you want and add nail polish to that part of the plate. Then slide this card that is about the size of credit card (that I forgot to include in the picture) to spread the polish over the design. Take the stamper thing and roll it over the polish and then roll that over your already painted nails. That’s my very simplistic understanding of it. We shall see how I do. I’m not super confident about this but it should be fun. @RGbrown is the expert extraordinaire and she’s posted some of her awesome nail stamping on the nails 2.0 thread. Take a look at her art work!

pssssh, I'm definitely no expert <blushes furiously> Thank you though!
You've about nailed the basics! I actually find, for the most part, with that stamper, that pushing it straight down on my nail is a bit easier. The jelly texture allows it to bend around and envelop my nail fully, and I can get slightly more accurate placement (though I'm still rarely perfect in finding the exact center lol). The drawback to this method though is that it can warp fine lines a bit, since the stamper head is bending in the process...it's mostly only noticeable on straight-line-heavy graphics though, something like a plaid.
I do still roll it across the plate, that's really the best way to pick up the design, but just wanted to point out a possible variant for getting it on your nail. Try and see which way you like best!
Your nail art is always masterful @RGbrown! 😍 Thanks for the tip - I’ll try both rolling and stamping straight down. 😃 Now I just have to decide which designs to try. So many choices, only 10 nails. 🤷🏻♀️
If you want to lower the frustration factor on your first run, do some practice stamps. I use a silicone mat (it's an old baking sheet liner I repurposed to my nail stuff...I didn't see a need to spend money on a "nail mat" since i already had that laying around). I've also got some plastic tops from large sour cream tubs and deli containers I play on. If you don't have any of that handy, a plastic bag will work too. Just lay down a coat of polish, then stamp on it for practice. It's helpful for both technique and seeing if a particular regular polish works well for stamping!
@RGbrown, thank you so much!! 🤗 This is super helpful. I have a bunch of plastic tops and an old silicone mat that I probably should have tossed a while ago. I’ve been working on trying to get the hang of rolling the stamper off the plate to pick up the polish and design - so far it works best when I don’t overthink it. 😝
Not overthinking is definitely the best way! Just a quick roll, then a quick smoosh, then clean the plate and card and stamper, and do it again. It's a very mundane process that only takes 10-15 minutes tops once you get the hang of it.
@itsfi @Great haul. Love Bioderma and the YSL lippies are so pretty
@SportyGirly125, thank you! 🤗 Bioderma is a must have for me. I try other micellar waters from time to time but Bioderma continues to be tops. I can’t seem to stop buying lippies! 😂 I just couldn’t pass on the YSLs. ☺️
The order I placed on Mother's Day finally arrived today! I'm so excited to try out the Kerastase Elixir Ultume hair oil! I also ordered the Gilt Pomander & Hinoki Voluspa candle, it's one of my favorites! I was just disappointed that one of my orders was missing the promo item, I really wanted to try out the Kérastase Genesis Conditioner 😭 I placed the second order specifically to get it, go figure haha
Oh no, sorry about your missing promo item, @bakeamuffin!! But great hauls!! Enjoy your goodies!!
