I tried to be good and only buy restock items or things i didn't already have a million dupes of.....well you know how well that usually goes!  😄   I'm most excited to try the Kaja cream eyeshadow and Ilia cream blush as i'm finding powders a bit drying these days.

Since I'm only an Insider I'll just be getting a wee 10% off, but I've still got a few things going in my cart that I'm debating on getting. I'm wondering if now is the time to go all in on Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Visibly Firming Refillable Body Cream with Caffeine-Rich Guaranà 8 ...since I'd be buying it at a discounted price. I've never tried it before but have heard it's like, a holy grail product for just about anyone who's used it. I'm mostly interested in it because I've heard/read it helps lessen the appearance of stretch marks, which is a huge insecurity of mine that I'd like to work on. Anyone have any opinions on this they can share before I buy it? Worth the money? Work as advertised? Avoid-at-all-costs?

As for the rest of the stuff in my cart I've got a couple things I've used before, like AMIKA - Soulfood Nourishing Mask. I've used it once from a Play! sample and I loved what it did to my hair. Sooo soft and silky, and definitely worth the price for the size of a 8oz jar I think.

If anyone has any products they think are must-haves feel free to drop those in a reply as well. I just like spending money and have little impulse control, lol.

@Anonymous It didn't magically make my stretch marks go away or anything, but I've noticed over time, they look duller (like, paler in color, if that makes sense). I mean, they're definitely still there and you can see them, but they're not a vibrant.

Interesting! I'm very fair skinned (AKA white as a ghost on the parts of me that don't get sun) so my stretch marks are almost like... shiny? That's not really a good way to describe it lol but when the light hits them directly they're extremely noticeably brighter than the rest of my skin. So if it helps to dull them a little, even if they don't go away completely, that'd be great!

I LOVE the Bum Bum cream! I cannot speak to it reducing the appearance of stretch marks. I mainly like it for the smell.

The biggest selling point of Bum Bum cream, in my experience, is the signature scent. The product itself is not all that hydrating or effective for stretch marks. But the scent is quite addictive and indulgent.

@Anonymous I am obsessed with Sol de Janeiro.  I read their PR - that in Brazil women take care of their bodies the way they do their face and thought - yes, I should do that.  I liked the bum bum scent so tried it.  I am now in love and drench myself in the brand (including the new coco cabana).  My skin is very dry and this is one of the few products that fixes that dryness (and I also drench myself in oils - this SDJ is as good but less messy).  I only buy it when I can get a discount because it is so expensive.  But for me it is a total game changer and I feel like - with my skin - it makes a noticeable difference.  The scent it strong, but if you like it you will likely love it.

I have a box of the products and use them daily (that lip balm is divine).  So, I say try it out and see if you are a convert too!  Then please report back.

“...in Brazil women take care of their bodies the way they do their face.” You know, that really is something I should strive for. I take such care of my face and go through multiple products searching for perfect stuff for my skin but I really rarely give any love to the rest of my body. I should try and live by this philosophy more. Hopefully I like the Bum Bum Cream’s scent as much as everyone else!
