Best affordable toners???

Hey everyone! I just ran out of my SKII toner and I’m looking for a cheaper alternative. I currently use SKII essence and Volition celery moisturizer along with a sunscreen daily. I love SKII’s products but I can’t afford to purchase another one just yet. Any suggestions? Was thinking about trying Ole Henriksen...

kiehl's ultra facial oil free toner has been a literal game changer for me!!! in the blue bottle, there are a ton of kiehl's toners. I'm oily and large pores with a tendency to go dry with harsh products. I've used CV clinique, pixi, fresh, kiehl's calendula and the youth to the people. by far, this little $16 bottle of toner has been the best. my skin is more balanced, my pores look almost invisible. I've had almost no break outs and I'm on my third bottle. i reccomend it to anyone struggling with oil control.

I love the beauty water toner! But it doesn’t have an aha component if that’s an ingredient your looking for in a toner.

I have oily combo skin and my die hard is the Origins United State balancing toner. I haven’t found anything that worked better and it’s pretty inexpensive.

You may like Algenist toner essence. I found the SKii toner similar to the essence and this product is like that. Good luck with your search.

Hi @Lanix27 !  YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner might be a good sub for the SK-II Facial Treatment Clear Lotion (assuming that’s the SKII product you want to replace). Both contain fermentation and AHA—though I don’t know the AHA% in the SK-II toner, so the YTTP toner might be a stronger exfoliant that you may need to ease your skin into. 

If you want to replace the SK-II Facial treatment Essence instead: FRESH - Black Tea Kombucha Antioxidant Essence seems like a good sub. It contains fermentation, plus several more beneficial ingredients than the SK-II essence contains. I haven’t used this one but I want to try it, since I put a tester on my hands and it made them feel very soft. 

This year I replaced the pricey May Coop Raw Sauce (an essence) with the $10  e.l.f. Hydrating Water Essence, which is really an essence/toner hybrid that contains a good mix of antioxidants and lots of hydrating & moisturizeing ingredients. I recommend that product to folks with dry skin who aren’t sensitive to niacinamide or extremely sensitive to fragrance. (HWE does contain a little fragrance.)

I'm not sure if you're using the SK-II Toner and Essence or just one of those products, either way for toner I recommend the Mario Badescu toners. They're budget friendly and come in different varieties for different skin concerns. My favorite is the Mario Badescu Cucumber Cleansing Lotion.

For essence, I recommend the LANEIGE - Water Bank Hydro Essence.

I have tried The Ordinary's glycolic acid toner and I felt like it works well. Plus it exfoliates the skin which helps your makeup sit better on the skin. if you're looking for something a little more gentle The Body Shop's tea tree toner is fantastic. I use this most days.

I have combo skin and I like Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence. It feels very clean, dries quickly and not sticky, and has never made me break out. The bottle is very pretty too and has a nice weight to it.

I personally love the Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Brightening & Soothing Treatment Water. It calms redness & gives skin a healthier, younger appearance, just as the name implies, which is exactly what I want! It's even great if I've overdone it on a treatment or gotten too much sun - it calms it all down.

@Lanix27 The only toners I've ever had success with are by Paula's Choice.  I use their Pore-Refining Toner intermittently (I'm slowly working it into my routine, since make several changes).  I think it's one sale for about $16 right now.  They have frequent sales.  Good luck!  🙂
