i absolutely love kidjess, sincerely sarah and miss darcie! kidjess is a youtuber who doesn’t talk during her videos, and they are very calming and relaxing. sarah likes to create makeup looks with only five products and they are all very natural and aesthetic. darcei is a youtuber who tries products and makes everyone laugh. would definitely recommend watching them!

update: some new youtubers i found recently is h0echub, haley kim, and hana lee. h0echub is a very sweet and awkward beginner who makes videos of herself doing e-girl makeup looks. haley has a very aesthetically pleasing vibe and does reviews and natural/no foundation tutorials, and skincare, and she knows her stuff as she has taken makeup classes. hana has more of a beauty vlog, and she does fun looks based off of different things. both hana and haley are woc (women of color).

@CookieGirl1 are there any lesser known black reviewers that you can recommend? I feel like the bigger names get too many sponsorships and aren't as honest.

@Anonymous have you checked out Kelsee Briana Jai, YvetteLuvsBeauty, or Andrea Renee?  There's also Samantha Jane--she's a Canadian and often does more "affordable" makeup reviews.

Here’s the list I’m subscribed to. Typically more mature non drama channels (I’m 40+) that post regularly and reviews they do are quality about the products they show giving good detail about products, ingredients etc  and what they like and don’t like about it and why rather than the generic ‘got this and am obsessed’ ‘love it’ You get from some. Not too many ads or sponsorships and don’t feel they are trying to talk you into anything or spewing out the marketing hype from the brand. In fact they often cite dupes and encourage less purchasing rather than more.

I'm definitely going to check these out! I'm only 30 but I feel the same, so of the bigger gurus are just "sell and schill", and half of the looks or products won't work on my skin or sagging eyes. Thanks!
