@tmilan0 I suppose it'd go by preference to certain scents. I love Coco by Chanel but it's very strong and spicy.  Also Shalimar, very classic. Hermes has many excellent perfumes. Twilly, Rhubarb, Sur du Nil, Eau de Merveilles. Tom Ford's Black Orchid. Lancome la Vie est Belle. Just some suggestions. Some of my favorites such as Sol de Janierio '71 are not very expensive. I do understand to make a collection nice you need a fancy one or two!

• YSL Opium. NOT Black Opium or flankers. The original one in the amber coloured bottle
• Prada's Infusion d'Iris
• Mugler Angel Eau de Parfum with Patchouli & Bergamot 
• CK One. It's not a woman's scent but it was huge for women in the 90s in a way other unisex scents are not.
• Serge Luten's Feminite de Bois
• TOM FORD Black Orchid Eau de Parfum Fragrance with Black Truffle & Ylang Ylang 1 oz/ 30 mL

A little about me: I love clean and comfy scents, I do have scents per occasion too, but clean and comfy are my preference. I don’t wear warm and spicy unless it’s nighttime or autumn…or both. I’m not a crazy floral person, but I will happily give any perfume a try!! 

So

My go-to every day of my life will now and forever be…. “Bubble Bath” by Replica (Maison Margiela). Maison Margiela REPLICA' Bubble Bath Eau de Toilette with Soap Bubble, Rose, White Musk, and Coconut...  I am in love with this scent!!

- I find that it lasts long and settles wonderfully…I love spraying it in my hair after the shower (or bubble bath) and smelling it throughout the day! 
- I find the spray is a good quality too, you’re getting a very nice mist, not pellets of perfume. 
- This is also a great layering scent if that’s your vibe!! I particularly like layering lightly with “Libre” by YSL to make it sexy….the compliments? Yes please! Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau De Parfum with Orange Blossom & Lavender 

For a sweet smell, I really really like “Irresistible” by Givenchy! Givenchy Irresistible Eau de Parfum Rose Velvet 2.6 oz / 80 mL  I’m on my second bottle, and I sized UP! It’s sweet and warm (while not being autumnal) and has soft notes to it too! This is a great daytime into nighttime scent and it layers really nicely with some of the bottle sprays from Sol de Janeiro (specifically 68!)Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 68 Beija Flor Hair & Body Perfume Mist 8.01 oz / 240 mL 

For a sexy, date-night scent….don’t hate me…. “Black Opium” by Yves Saint Laurent Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Le Parfum with Vanilla & Coffee . Listen…it’s basic for a reason! It’s good! It lasts long, smells great on virtually everyone, and I get compliments on it EVERY TIME I wear it. Yeah it’s used by a lot of people….BECAUSE IT’S GOOD! You can’t go wrong with it! I’m on my third bottle of this thing! My boyfriend loves it.

I'm currently trying out “You” by Glossier Glossier Glossier You Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spray  and I’m not sure how I’m feeling about it…I’m gonna give it a test when I go to Uni and we will see, as of right now (two days with it) I’m not seeing the crazy hype around it…I’ll keep you updated though

I’m sold on Paco Rabanne Fame Eau de Parfum 0.33 oz / 10 mL eau de parfum spray . It’s very IT girl. 

and I’m loving BURBERRY Her Eau de Parfum with Berries, Amber and Musk and so is my mom. So universally girly. 

And if your a boss “B” Versace Eros Pour Femme Eau de Parfum it’s perfect and the lasting power is insane!

I am a fan of SKYLAR Isle Escape Eau De Parfum Rollerball 0.33 oz/ 10 mL Eau de Parfum Rollerball . I would recommend looking at sets of sample sizes to see what you like and go from there.

@tmilan0 Perfume is such a personal thing I think - not every scent will smell good on every person. Right now, two of my favorites are the Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia Eau de Parfum with Pear and Brown Sugar and Floral Street Wonderland Peony Eau De Parfum 1.7 oz/ 50 mL !
