Recommendations for a beach-y perfume

I'm going to Cancun in about 5 weeks and I was wondering if anyone had good recommendations for a perfume that is vacation appropriate? Favorite perfumes of mine are Chloé Love Story and Elizabeth and James White, so I'm definitely a floral girl. I just want something outside of my everyday that are a little more beach-y while still in my scent family. Does anyone have similar taste that can make a recommendation? Much appreciated 🙂

Re: Recommendations for a beach-y perfume

@ShelbyV2016 I second Bobbi Brown Beach, it’s one of my favorites, plus it has an accompanying lotion so you can layer the scent and have it last all day!

My other favorite beacy scents are Tom Ford Neroli Portofino and Jo Malone Basil and Neroli. Anything with neroli (a gentle citrus scent) immediately makes me think of summer and fun in the sun. Hope you find your perfect vacation perfume!

Re: Recommendations for a beach-y perfume

Hi, @ShelbyV2016. Chloé Love Story is one of my favorite perfumes as well.

My favorite beachy scents are Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfume and Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk. The Guerlain perfume is not sold at Sephora, but it's currently in-stock online at Saks, Dillards, and QVC. I've listed the perfume notes for each below. Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum is the more floral of the two.

Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum:

Top notes: bergamot, coconut, tiare flower

Middle notes: orange blossom, jasmine, ylang-ylang

Base notes: musk, vanilla

Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk:

Top notes: bergamot, pink pepper, lemon

Middle notes: ylang-ylang, heliotrope, coconut milk

Base notes: musk, cedar, benzoin

I'd also recommend taking a look at Bobbi Brown Beach (notes: jasmine, mandarin orange, sea water, sand). I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard that it's nice and is similar to MM Replica Beach Walk.

Same with these two Aerin perfumes. I haven't had a chance to smell either one, but the notes sound lovely enough for me to mention them. Who knows? They may end up being winners for you.

Aerin Linen Rose Eau de Cologne (notes: sea salt, sea notes, orange blossom, bulgarian rose, ylang-ylang, coconut nectar, rose oil, vanilla, amber).

Aerin Hibiscus Palm (notes: lotus, hibiscus, ylang-ylang, palm leaf, ginger, frangipani, white flowers, coconut milk, vanilla, musk).

If beachy scents end up not being your cup of tea, I'd then suggest looking at some other summery scents, like Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle (citrus/white floral) and Tocca Simone (fruity floral). I'll put the perfume notes in the spoiler below.

Spoiler
Aerin Mediterranean Honeysuckle: honeysuckle, grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin orange, lily-of-the-valley, gardenia, jasmine sambac.
A perfume that still reminds me of summer, but doesn't have the typical tropical fruit or marine notes.

Tocca Simone: apple, watermelon, lemon, frangipani, ylang-ylang, rose, freesia, woody notes, musk, amber.
A complex fruity floral that screams summer.

I hope this helps, and have fun on your vacation!

I had bought Urban Decan Go Naked, which I liked, but it was a bit too floral for my allergies. You might see if there is a tester somewhere, but it's affordable if not (and can always be returned if from Sephora). It's not overpowering or anything.

Like I said, I enjoyed it, just sadly allergic to it.

Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess

My two immediate thoughts are Replica Beach Walk and Tom Ford Soleil Blanc. 🍹
