Perfume

Hi so Ive been wanting a new perfume I want to be one of those people of when you walk by all you could think about is their scent. But I have a problem. Everytime I try a fragrance it smells metalicky on my skin. I don't know if that's how its supposed to be. Everytime I go frangerence shopping I have clean skin with no product so I can just smell it as it is. I just wanna know if there's a reason why it smells like metal and if you guys have any perfume recommendations as well because I wanna explore perfumes.

Re: Perfume

Hi, @Allison555101 !  @Westcoasty gives great recommendations.  When you try perfumes have you asked others to take a sniff?  Maybe the perfume smells fine to others; it just smells metallic to you?

Re: Perfume

Hi @Allison555101  - I'm not sure what would cause the metallic note you pick up when trying perfumes. I suspect it's something to do with your specific skin chemistry. That said, it's probably one ingredient that smells like that to you, so perseverance in trying scents may pay off!

I'm on a quest to find a perfume I can wear all day without it bothering my fragrance sensitivities, and I've had some luck. I seem to do well with the Clean Reserve fragrances, which have a minimum of ingredients. They sell samplers, and so do a number of other lines - I've bought several. You can also get samples when making a purchase - there's usually some fragrance samples to choose from. Samples and samplers are likely your best ways to explore without breaking the bank - you'll learn which lines and which types of fragrance appeal to you with some experimentations.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
